The Acts of the Apostles - Part 1

You get to know the beginnings of Christianity in Acts, the formation of the church (or assembly, congregation).

The book can be divided into three sections after chapter 1, verse 8 ("You will be my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all of Judea and Samaria and to the farthest part of the earth"): Accordingly, the course is offered in three parts.

The first part of the course on Acts covers chapters 1 to 7, the testimony in Judea.

• After the ascension of Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes upon the believers and forms a new, spiritual organism: the church, or assembly.
• The assembly initially consists only of Jews and proselytes, with the center being Jerusalem.
• You hear about the sermons and deeds of the Apostle Peter, about the first Christian martyr Stephen.
