The previous lesson dealt with the forgiveness every person receives when they turn to God and believe in the Lord Jesus. But unfortunately, even after conversion, the child of God still sins. Does he/she then have to convert again as a sinner in order not to be lost forever?
Thankfully not!
If a child lies to their parents, it remains their child nevertheless. Only the good relationship with the father and mother is disturbed by the misconduct. This must be rectified.
It is the same with the child of God. By sinning, the good relationship with the heavenly Father is disturbed, and in order to rectify this, we need forgiveness.
What must we do according to 1 John 1:9 to receive forgiveness of our sins?
