The Bible Course for Children

The Lord Jesus

You've probably already noticed that I'm not telling you about a religion or a church in the lessons, but that you're getting to know a person.

This person is the Lord Jesus Christ. He's so important in my life that I want to tell you more and more about Him.

The Lord Jesus died for me on the cross.

There are four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Each of these books of the Bible describes how the Lord Jesus died.

1

Please arrange the following verses in the order they appear in Luke 23:44-46.

Your response:

  • And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the middle.
  • And it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
  • And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. And having said this, he expired.
2

He has thereby paid the penalty for my sins.

Your response:

  • the man Christ Jesus,
  • and one is mediator between God and men,
  • For God is one,
  • who gave himself as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
3

He endured God's judgment that I deserved for my sins.

Since I have confessed all the sins to God and I believe in the Lord Jesus, God will never condemn me for my sins again.
You can find this in Hebrews 10:17, where the Lord says:

Your response:

"And their sins and their lawlessness I will by   remember any more."
