His father Jacob had several wives, as was customary in the Orient at that time. Joseph has 11 brothers, he is the second youngest. His brothers can't stand him, but his father loves him especially.

One day, Joseph's brothers are on the road with their father's large herd. As has often been the case, they do not return home every evening, but stay away for a long time. After some time, Joseph is called by his father. Jacob sends Joseph to his brothers. He would like to know if they and the herd are doing well.

Joseph is obedient and goes to where he suspects his brothers. But they are not there.

He only meets another man. What does Joseph say to him? (Verse 16)
