Peter and Judas

In this and in the next lesson, we will read about three men whose names you are surely familiar with: Peter, Judas and John.

They were among the disciples who accompanied the Lord Jesus for several years.

1

The Lord Jesus gave these disciples authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every infirmity.

Your response:

How many disciples did the Lord Jesus have?   . If you have forgotten, look it up in Matthew 10:1-4.
Here you will also find the other name of the disciple we are talking about today: Peter was also called   , Judas was also called   .

Peter

Peter is a disciple who was particularly intimate with the Lord.

We read in some places that the Lord Jesus only took Peter, James, and John with Him. For example in Matthew 17:1; Mark 5:37 and Mark 14:33.

2

Just before His arrest, the Lord tells His disciples what lies ahead for Him.

Peter answers Him:

And he said to him, Lord, with you I am ready to go both to prison and to death. (Luke 22:33)

Then the Lord replies to him (Verse 34):

Your response:

I tell you,
will not crow today
deny that
before that you will thrice
Peter, the cock
you know me.
