We arrive now at chapter eight, where the second section of the Acts of the Apostles begins. Essentially, up to this point the Gospel has only been proclaimed in Jerusalem. However, the work of God was to expand, and the disciples were to become witnesses of Jesus even unto the ends of the earth, though first in Judea and Samaria.
More and more people are coming to believe in Jesus Christ, not only from among the Jewish people, but also Samaritans, the Ethiopian, the Roman Cornelius, and others are accepting the Gospel.
Now read chapter 8 in the book of Acts of the Apostles and then answer the questions of this lesson.
As a reminder: The last words of the Lord Jesus before His ascension in Acts 1:8 were:
