This is how Bibleo works

1 | Choose course

Choose a course that interests you, or start with our recommended beginner's course.

When you begin the course, you’ll be asked whether you want to create a personal user account or work with an anonymous guest account.

Learn more about this in FAQ.

2 | Complete the first lesson

You can now complete the first lesson online. Carefully read each question and look up the Bible passages that are usually provided.

To find the Bible passage, use the table of contents in your Bible or New Testament. The large numbers in the Bible correspond to chapters, and the small numbers to verses.

Now, answer the questions in the lesson as best as you can.

3 | Get lesson evaluated

When you have completed the lesson, you can submit it for evaluation. You have the option to receive an instant, standardized evaluation or to send the lesson to a personal instructor.

The latter option is available only for selected courses and requires a personal user account.

4 | Read the evaluation and continue

Now, compare the answers in the evaluation with your own and consider re-reading the corresponding Bible passages.

After that, you can proceed to the next lesson until you have completed all the lessons and finished the course.

5 | Receive certificate

Upon completing a course, you will receive a certificate of participation. If you wish, you can also save the course data as a PDF.

Our additional courses are waiting for you to deepen your Bible knowledge! It's best to check the course overview and start with the next course that suits you.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

We are Christians who have found a living faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and want to spread this saving message through the Bible.

You can find more information on the "About us" page.

The BIBLEO courses are offered for children (from reading age), for teenagers, and adults.

The course offerings are designed in such a way that for every target group, whether with no knowledge, basic knowledge, or even good knowledge of the Bible, something suitable can be found.

Courses are in the languages German and English. Planned for later are: Russian, Ukrainian, Persian and others.

Feel free to contact us if you miss your language.

There are basically two modes offered, some of which can be combined, depending on the country and language in which a course is offered. These are

  1. Online course in pure self-learning mode, evaluation of answers is automated.
  2. Online course in supervisor mode, evaluation of the answers by the supervisor.

In both modes, the evaluation takes place at the end of each lesson.

A course consists of several lessons (typically: 10-15), each usually covering a topic. The content is conveyed in the lesson in question form or through info-boxes.

The questions can be formulated in various ways, currently these forms exist:

  1. Text question: A free text response is allowed. The answer is provided by support (if offered for the course) or by a sample answer.
  2. Choice: There are one or more pre-set answers to select. (Single-Choice, Multiple-Choice)
  3. Fill in the blanks: One or more gaps in a pre-set answer text need to be properly filled.
  4. Matching: Terms and Bible references or quotes need to be correctly matched.
  5. Sorting task: Terms or text fragments need to be put in the correct order. (horizontal and vertical sorting)

As a rule, it is sufficient to have a Bible (with the two parts Old and New Testament).

After successful completion of a course, the participant can create a certificate online and then print it out.

There are three ways to use BIBLEO:

  1. No registration, completely anonymous (guest access).
  2. Registration with a freely chosen pseudonym (user account without providing an email address).
  3. Registration with your real contact information (user account with email and optionally a postal address).

In case 1, data is stored in an anonymous guest account, but only temporarily - as long as the browser maintains the session.

In cases 2 and 3, the individual course progress is saved and this allows you to continue where you last left off later and also allows you to work with the user account across multiple devices.

In addition, in case 3, the e-mail address allows direct communication with the supervisor if the course includes supervision.

An anonymous user can convert their guest account into a real user account (with data transfer!).

When completing a Bible course, your answers are stored on our servers. You have the option to work with a guest access and remain completely anonymous.

If you create a personal user account, you can provide personal information and contact details.

Both guest access and user account, can be deleted at any time, including all your answers and certificates.

You can delete your user account, including all associated data, by going to "My Bibleo" and then to "My Account." There, at the bottom of the page, select "Additional Actions", click on "Delete user account" and confirm.

Your guest access can be deleted by clicking on the menu item “Guest account” and then selecting the “Delete all data” button.

Your guest access, or user account, including all data in BIBLEO will then be deleted.

When you register, you can choose whether you would like to receive our newsletter. If you want to change this later, you must open the dashboard in “My Bibleo” and then select “Manage notifications” in the settings. There you can make the desired changes.
