Read the last chapter now and then answer the questions.

The rescued learn that they are stranded on Melita*. The island belonged to the Roman Empire and had a governor named Publius. The locals, literally translated as "barbarians", had no part in Greek culture.

* Traditionally identified as Malta. Others identify Melite with the western Greek island of Kefalonia.

Nothing happens to Paul when he is bitten by a snake! This is in perfect accordance with the words of the Lord.

How quickly people change their minds!

At first, they think that Paul is a murderer, but a short time later they come to a completely different conclusion: they consider him to be a god and want to pay him tribute.
